Shanti is speaking at the Jenu Kuruba’s protest against evictions from Nagarhole National Park in India. Like thousands of Jenu Kuruba, she was evicted from her home and her land was stolen in the name of conservation. The Jenu Kuruba are demanding their rights to live in their forest, and for those who have been evicted to be allowed to return to the land of their grandparents and great grandparents. Please take action to help ensure that Shanti’s voice is heard and the Jenu Kuruba's demands are met.

Tribal Voice is a project by Survival International, the global movement for tribal peoples. More than one hundred and fifty million people in over sixty countries live in tribal societies.

From the Amazon to the Kalahari, from the jungles of India to the Congo rainforest, Tribal Voice gives them a platform. They experience appalling racism and genocidal violence. Their lands and resources are stolen for profit. Their ways of life are being deliberately and systematically destroyed.

Here they speak out about what matters to them; watch, listen, and get involved: https://svlint.org/TribalVoice
