"There are rampant evictions"
Pranab Doley, an activist and local politician from the Mising tribe, speaks out against illegal evictions at Kaziranga National Park, India.
Kaziranga is infamous for its shoot on sight policy and gross human rights violations.
Pranab responds to the visit of the French Environment Minister and her entourage – the visit was heavily controlled, with press barred from entering the park and local people’s voices ignored.
Pranab condemns the failure to implement India’s land rights law around the park and urges the French government to review its funding of conservation there.

Tribal Voice is a project by Survival International, the global movement for tribal peoples. More than one hundred and fifty million people in over sixty countries live in tribal societies.
From the Amazon to the Kalahari, from the jungles of India to the Congo rainforest, Tribal Voice gives them a platform. They experience appalling racism and genocidal violence. Their lands and resources are stolen for profit. Their ways of life are being deliberately and systematically destroyed.
Here they speak out about what matters to them; watch, listen, and get involved: https://svlint.org/TribalVoice
