The Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS), owner of the Bronx Zoo, has a dark history of abuse of tribal peoples. In 1906 they exhibited Ota Benga at their zoo. It took them 114 years to apologize. But the WCS is still responsible for violence and the evictions of Indigenous people across Asia and Africa. These are their stories.
