Take a stand against fortress conservation
From forced evictions of thousands of Maasai in Tanzania; to beatings, killings and sexual violence against the Baka in the Congo Basin; to the burning of Indigenous Karen villages in Thailand, our Indigenous allies continue to speak out against a model of conservation that violates their rights and fails to protect nature.
The London Zoological Society supports this racist and colonial conservation model and works with governments and rangers in Nepal and Cameroon, where Indigenous peoples face human rights violations and have been evicted and excluded from their homes.
Join our vigil in London at 2pm on 1 March near the London Zoo.
Location: Regent's Park entrance, intersection of Prince Albert Road and Ormonde Terrace.
