The world’s best-loved illustrator, Quentin Blake, has designed a 2008 Christmas card to mark Survival International’s 40th anniversary.

Entitled ‘A Christmas Ride’, the card depicts tribal children on the back of a reindeer, and is being sold as part of Survival’s popular Christmas card range.

Quentin Blake said, ‘I have been a supporter of Survival International for a very long time and have always been very impressed by their work for threatened tribal peoples around the world. I am delighted to help by designing their 40th anniversary Christmas card.’

Survival founded in 1969, following an article by Norman Lewis in the Sunday Times Magazine about the genocide of Brazilian Indians.

The cards are available to buy from Survival’s online catalogue.
