“We must decolonize conservation”

Listen to Yannick Ndoinyo, a Maasai man from Tanzania, to understand why Protected Areas have had a disastrous impact on the land and lives of Indigenous peoples, the best conservationists. World leaders, with the support of conservation organizations, want to turn 30% of the Earth into Protected Areas by 2030. It would be the biggest land grab in world history and would reduce hundreds of millions of people to landless poverty.
